Time Saving Fashionable Shrimp Appetizers Recipes

It doesn’t take much to cook the perfect shrimp appetizer! And, luckily, there are tons of time-saving recipes out there that don’t skimp on flavor. Here are two of our favorite time-saving yet fashionable shrimp app recipes:

  • Buttery Garlic Shrimp. This delicious and simple appetizer recipe is hard to beat! First, begin by deveining your shrimp. Then, melt a couple tablespoons of butter into a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add your shrimp into the pan, and sauté for just a few minutes, until the shrimp get pink – don’t overcook them, as you don’t want their texture to be rubbery. Remove the shrimp from your skillet and then toss in some minced garlic into the pan. Add a splash of white wine and cook, stirring occasionally. Whisk in a little more butter, some kosher salt and pepper, and cook the sauce until it’s thickened. Once the sauce is sufficiently thick, remove from heat, and add in some fresh parsley. Add the shrimp back to the pan. Et voila! We love to serve with French bread or baguette slices, but this shrimp is also delicious on its own.
  • Sauteed Shrimp Cocktail. This one’s a winner, and it’s easy as pie! In a large skillet, heat two tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Toss in your deveined shrimp, along with a tablespoon or two of Herbes de Provence. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook the shrimp for about three minutes, until it’s pink and cooked through. In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of yogurt, two tablespoons of mayonnaise, two tablespoons of whole grain mustard, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, and toss in some ground turmeric and basil. Serve the cooked shrimp with the yogurt mixture.
